An Introduction To

Felinise

Welcome to Felinise, a cat kingdom on the Fanine planet alongside another kingdom, Caninia, which dogs inhabit. However, we're only going to talk about Felinise here. In another document, I might write about Caninia's history, culture, traditions, and other things. Now, let's talk about how Felinise is a large area, and the weather can vary depending on the city, town, or village. For example, in Calitown, it usually snows, while in Felinopolis, it's generally sunny. However, places closer to each other may experience the same climate, although sometimes they have different ones.
Besides Felinise's weather, the kingdom also has a myth that a particular type of cat called Enigmews has special magical powers that may vary depending on which Enigmew we're talking about. For instance, some may control an element (such as fire, water, earth, or air), while others may be able to read minds. Enigmews can be either polite cats who don't use their powers for evil or ruthless monsters who harm every Felinisian cat to ever exist with their powers. You might say they're either the hero or the villain.
There's a unique day for Enigmews, on September 20th, to celebrate them for their magical abilities. However, the cats who don't believe Enigmews exist don't celebrate it and act like September 20th is another average day. Furthermore, some Enigmews don't show off their talents that day because they fear being harassed by cats who may think they will destroy Felinise with their powers.
Setting the part of the myths aside, we'll immerse into the world of Felinise's traditions and symbols. The most well-known symbol is the Felin and Panda statues between the colossal fountain in the heart of Felinopolis (don't be mistaken by Panda's name; both are cats). Felinisian cats say it symbolizes the importance of courage and unity in Felinise's history after many ferocious bears attacked the kingdom many years ago, causing the cats to fight bravely and defeat the bears even though that took so long.
Moreover, Felinise has plenty of traditions. One of them is gathering around Serenity's Embrace, a way for Felinisians to honour their past and speak to their ancestors. It also provides an opportunity for reflection and community bonding.
Felinise has eight places for cats to explore, and these are:
  1. The Ruby Castle: The place where Felinise's monarchs, Queen Esmeralda and King Indigo, reside. Legends say a ruby-filled mine is under the castle, but it's so well hidden since a hostile bear lives there, protecting a phenomenal healing flower called Guraomna, which no one knows about.
  2. Serenity's Embrace: A majestical lake where most couples have a romantic date while watching the water sparkling under them. Besides being a dating area, Serenity's Embrace holds a significant role since, on August 12th, cats go there to communicate with their ancestors.
  3. The Whiskers' Residence: Mr. and Mrs. Whiskers reside in this Victorian home. The Whiskers are very reserved,  keeping everything about them secret. Some Felinisian cats claim that the Whiskers speak with the royalty only, offering them advice or pieces of their wise minds.
  4. Tuna Bay: Felinisian cats use this glistening bay as a fishing area. Some enjoy exploring Tuna Bay because they usually discover exciting things there.
  5. Felinopolis: The oldest city in Felinise. Cats know the city as a fun, exciting place during spring and summer and a warm, tranquil place during autumn and winter. Felinisian cats not from Felinopolis enjoy visiting the city during its more active months and rarely go in its more peaceful moments.
  6. Pawstopia: This is a fun and cheerful Felinisian city. Other cats recognize Pawstopia cats because of their joyful nature. Starlight Serenade, an evening event where cats gather in a clearing under the starry night sky, is celebrated in this city. However, Calitown cats decided to celebrate it, too.
  7. Whiskerburg: The oldest Felinisian village. Cats who live in Whiskerburg are well known due to their distinctive whiskers. Although they're kind and polite with all cats whether they're from Whiskerburg or not, they sometimes call cats from Calitown «calitownies» and «copycats» due to them copying Pawstopia's celebration, Starlight Serenade, and calling Whiskerburg cats «whiskerburgies» as a «calitownie» copy.
  8. Calitown: A snowy, serene town where Calico cats live. Despite most calicos living there, other cats whose fur patterns aren't calico live there, too. For example, Oscar, a black-and-white tuxedo cat, resides there.
It's important to know that, since these places form Felinise, they're all meaningful and have their own purposes, even if some occasionally fight.
